Hands on Training on Electronic Equipments was organised at Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala by Physics Society, “We Matter”, Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala. Principal, Dr. Khushwinder Kumar, in his address to the students emphasized on the impact of Science and Technology particularly electrical and electronics on the Education sector. He said, “ It lights up our streets and buildings and enables us to enjoy electronic devices, thanks to the skilled electricians and engineers working behind the scenes”. He appreciated Physics Society for organizing such trainings and lectures which build practical intellect in students. Dean, Physical Sciences, Dr. Rajeev Sharma, faciliated the resource person Er. Sanjeev Saini, Head (Electricals and electronics) OSAW Industrial products Pvt. Ltd..
Er. Sanjeev Saini, explained in details about how CRO (Cathode Ray Oscilloscope) works and its construction alongwith its basics components. He told that a degree in pure sciences accompanied by practical exposure is better for research as carreer. He stressed on focussing on basics and practical knowledge rather than grades. Through this training students gained a thorough understanding of the basic concepts and practices of the electrical and electronics. This initiated the students for taking up courses and oppurtunities alongwith graduation to add to their skill and education.
Vice Principal, (Prof.) Shailendra Sidhu honoured the resource person. Student representatives of the Physics Society Mr. Sadhik Verma (B.Sc., C.Sc.-II) handled the stage, Ms. Isha (B.Sc., C.Sc.-II) introduced the resource person and Ms. Anjali Saklani (B.Sc., C.Sc.-II) presented vote of thanks. The students and faculty of Physics department were present during the lecture cum training.
